What began as TYPOlight is now Contao: a mature CMS with a clear, fast interface (including Ajax convenience) and many features directly in the core. A permissions system, versioning & Undo, advanced search/sorting, and a Live Update service are included as standard – for secure, efficient editorial work.

Numerous professional, paid themes are available in the Contao Store for a quick start. Additionally, external marketplaces (e.g., ThemeForest) offer further templates. Those who prefer a custom appearance can develop their own themes and activate them in just a few steps – without losing update compatibility.

Can I move my existing Contao website to you?
Yes. We pre-check the version, extensions, and composer.lock, set up a staging instance, and test the operation. We then migrate files & databases, and take over SSL certificates, cron jobs (Contao Scheduler), and redirects. We coordinate the actual switch-over time via DNS change (short TTL), so the move usually takes place without noticeable downtime.
How do you handle updates, security, and backups?
Upon request, we handle core and extension updates (including LTS), test major version jumps in staging first, and then deploy them to the live environment in a controlled manner. We provide daily (or more frequent if needed) backups of files & DB with defined retention and fast restores. Additionally: automatic SSL renewal, hardening (WAF/rate limiting), monitoring with alerting, and hosting in GDPR-compliant data centers within the EU.
