Nextcloud is a versatile platform for files and collaboration: documents, photos, and more can be managed in the browser, integrated as a drive via desktop client, and kept synchronized with mobile apps. The modern web interface offers numerous functions and a large app ecosystem for expansion. Content remains on your own storage and can be securely shared with others as needed.
Automatic Synchronization
Clients for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android keep folders and files continuously up to date. Selective sync, differential uploading, and conflict resolution ensure efficient transfers. Offline mode and bandwidth limits support mobile work and fluctuating networks.
Your Data Remains Private
We treat the data you entrust to us with the utmost care – your privacy is our top priority. All information is transmitted encrypted and stored securely. Data is stored exclusively on SaaS Web servers. These are located in Europe: in France for Private Cloud-hosted Nextcloud and in Limburg (near Frankfurt) for Public Cloud.

Frequently asked questions
Is Nextcloud comparable to Dropbox or WeTransfer?
In part, yes: files can be stored, synchronized, and shared. However, Nextcloud goes further: it offers real-time collaboration (Docs/Sheets/Slides), chat/meetings, workflows, and a large app ecosystem – operated as a private cloud with full control over data and integrations.
Is the data stored in the USA?
No. The data is located in EU/German data centers (at least ISO 27001). There is a data processing agreement (DPA); transfers to third countries do not take place or only occur upon express request and then exclusively with appropriate guarantees (e.g., SCCs).
Can Nextcloud edit Office documents collaboratively?
Yes. Via OnlyOffice, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations can be edited simultaneously – including comments, change tracking, and permissions. Files remain in Nextcloud, and sharing and versioning are seamlessly integrated.
